Hand & Flower In Marlow - Tom Kerridge

Was lucky enough to be able to go to The Hand & Flow in Marlow, This lovely pub was opened by Tom & Beth Kerridge. The Hand and flower was the first pub to receive two stars in The Mitchelin Guide, its now the proud holder of four AA rosettes.

Its was my first time going to a Mitchelin star restaurant, I've never been one to be adventurous with my foods, however when we arrived I told myself I'll try new things, why not?!

My Family and I went to the Hand & Flower on Sunday 26th February , we had the Sunday Lunch menu, the foods were amazing, I've never tasted food like it before.

To see the Menu click here

Above is what they bring out before the starters, Fresh sour dough, white bait and sauce (never tried white bate, but mixed with the sauce, salt & pepper, was delishhhh)

Choosing a starter was a tricky one, majority of what was on the menu I'd never tried before. I went for the Glazed Omelette of Smoked Haddock and Parmesan. £16.00 . Again never had haddock before, was an unusual texture with over powering flavours. Was lovely!!

The main - I went for the Half Beer Roast Chicken with Citrus Braised Chicory, Pumpkin, Maple and Coffee Purée and Oak Gravy. £33.50   The chicken was out of this world, I'd recommend this dish so much, the nicest tasting chicken I've ever tasted. Wasn't 100% sure of the pure, for me it was delicious tasting. I also had a side of Pomme Boulangère.

I love pudding, who doesn't?!
Got such a sweet tooth so had no problem choosing a pudding..... or maybe 2

First pudding was Passion Fruit and White Chocolate Bavarois with Honeycomb and 70% Cacao Sorbet.  This was amazing, the tastes were out of this world.

Second pudding was Apple and Custard Slice with Bramley Sorbet. I love apple slices, this was the best tasting one I've tasted.

How pretty are they both too? I'm a sucker for a good picture

Sunday Lunch washed down with a few cocktails
The food at The Hand & Flower was something else, was amazing never tasted anything like it before! You have to give it a try, you really do pay for what you get.
